Rap mogul Kanye West, 39, underwent psychiatric observation at UCLA medical center on Tuesday following a breakdown.

According to CNN, a source confirmed that West was being treated for exhaustion and sleep deprivation after Los Angeles police responded to a disturbance call.

The unusual episode occurred after bizarre behavior observed during his tour, which has been canceled as a result of the hospitalization.

West’s wife, Kim Kardashian West, was forced to return to Los Angeles from New York where she attended a charity event honoring Kardashian’s late father.

Kim has remained supportive throughout the ordeal, offering support as she laid by West’s bedside during the hospital stay, People reports.

“Family and friends are around. Kim is being amazing. As are all of his friends and team and inner circle,” a source close to West’s camp told People Tuesday evening.

Live Nation — the ones in charge of West’s Saint Pablo Tour — has called off the remaining dates, as the future of his tour is unknown.

The media began reporting on what they described as “bizarre” rants, including West’s support for President-elect Donald Trump, and his rants towards racism.

On Saturday, West showed up late to his concert and only performed two songs. He then used the majority of the time to speak about his political views.

West is expected to recover as Kris Jenner, his mother-in-law, stated: “He’s had a grueling tour and it’s been a grind, so he just needs to rest.”
